Mogilev to host modern pentathlon competitions 19-22 October

MOGILEV, 18 October (BelTA) – Nationwide competitions in modern pentathlon, quadrathlon and triathlon will take place in Mogilev, BelTA learnt from the department of physical education, sports and tourism of the oblast executive committee.

Partaking in the competitions will be more than 120 athletes from the Mogilev, Minsk and Gomel oblasts and Minsk. Sportsmen will compete in swimming, fencing, running, shooting, and horseracing.

Swimming and fencing contests will be held in the Mogilev Sports Center. Competitions in running, shooting and horseracing will take place in the riding hall of the Olympic Reserve Center of Equestrian Sport and Modern Pentathlon.

The organizers of the competitions are the Modern Pentathlon Federation of Belarus, the department of physical education, sports and tourism of the oblast executive committee and the Olympic Reserve Center of Equestrian Sport and Modern Pentathlon.
