Orsha District to lead advanced farming in Vitebsk OblastORSHA DISTRICT, 4 August (BelTA) – Orsha District should become the basic district for the advancement of intensive farming technologies in Vitebsk Oblast, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko as he visited the Belarusian state district power plant (BelGRES) on 4 August. Alexander Lukashenko said that getting Orsha District up to speed was the main purpose of his visit. As an example the head of state mentioned Gorki District of Mogilev Oblast that he had visited the day before. The President believes that the new administration of Gorki District is on the right way. “The chairman of the district executive committee outlined all areas, said clearly what had to be done, determined that the district needed 12 out of 15 agricultural enterprises. Next year’s [harvesting celebration] Dazhynki in the town of Gorki should spur the development of the region and it will be the basic one in Mogilev Oblast”. The President said that Orsha District would be an exemplary district in Vitebsk Oblast. “The foundation here is good. If any mergers are required, go ahead. But don’t do it for the sake of it. Everything should be done to achieve economic benefits,” said Alexander Lukashenko. Alexander Lukashenko said: “We will not advance Orsha to a high level without mobilizing internal resources. I would like you to do your best and we will help if necessary. Profit is what matters”. It is in Orsha District where new intensive farming technologies are supposed to be introduced. Later they may be adapted to other parts of Vitebsk Oblast. “Other districts with similar conditions will take Orsha District’s experience as a guideline. It is necessary to create basic, typical districts for others to study their experience,” said the President. The head of state was informed about the progress in the harvesting campaign in Orsha District and Vitebsk Oblast as a whole and about the construction of dairy farms. Читайте также в этой рубрике: |
