Belarus supports setting up international structures to prevent emergencies

Belarus supports setting up of any organizational-coordination structures and bodies to prevent and minimize emergencies, Belarusian Emergencies Minister Enver Bariev noted during the opening ceremony of the 10th national and 5th international competitions of young firemen-rescuers in the National Children’s Recuperation Center Zubrionok on September 26. 

At present, the CSTO (Collective Security Treaty Organization) member states are forming the mechanisms to respond to natural and man-caused emergencies. The countries-participants are agreeing the drafts of the documents related to setting up the CSTO Coordination Council on Emergencies. The Council will coordinate the information exchange, organize training of specialists from the CSTO member states, Enver Bariev noted.

According to the Belarusian Emergencies Minister, this year Belarusian universities will start to train rescuers for Azerbaijan.
